The Vallos Bakery
Vallos Bakery has been a family owned and operated business since 1926, when my grandparents, Stephanos and Kathleen Skoutelas, purchased the bakery from the Vallos Baking Company. My grandfather had found his first job, after moving to the United States, with the Vallos Baking Company, and wanted to keep the bakery alive after it was put up for sale. After the purchase, the bakery was moved from Fountain Hill to Salisbury Township. When my grandfather passed, the Lehigh Valley bakery was handed down to his three sons: Nicholas, George and Gus, two of whom have since retired from the business. My husband and I decided to keep the business going, fully purchasing Vallos in 2005. Over the years we have updated our baking equipment, invested in new delivery trucks, hired the areas most talented bakers, and started a whole new line of freshly baked pastries and cakes! It has been quite a journey for Vallos, but we are so proud of where the business is going. We have grown to be one of the Lehigh Valley’s most favorite bake shops, offering freshness and quality where it counts, while still using original recipes handed down for generations!
